Essay On Independence Day

The Independence day of India is the 15th August. It has become a red-letter day in the History of India. On this day we achieved freedom.

It tells about the great sacrifice and sufferings. Our country-men had undergone to gain freedom.

The Britishers left out country for good handling over its reign to us. The only sad thing to mention was that our country could not remain intact. A new country namely Pakistan was born out of it. We had no other option than to accect it.

The 15 August is celebrated every year as Independence Day. The national flag is hoisted on all the Govt. buildings.

We pay due respect to the flag. It is joy everywhere on this day. Public meetings are held, sweets etc. are distributed among the children. This day is a memorable day for all us.
