The Mouse and the Lion story in English
Once upon a time, in a dense jungle, there lived a tiny mouse and a mighty lion. One day, the mouse accidentally ran over the lion’s nose while he was sleeping. The lion woke up, angry and furious, and he caught the mouse in his massive paws.
The mouse begged the lion to spare his life and promised to do him a favor in return. The lion laughed and mocked the tiny mouse, asking him how he could possibly help him. The mouse replied, “You may be bigger and stronger than me, but I am smarter and quicker. I promise to repay your kindness one day.”
The lion was amused and decided to let the mouse go. The mouse went back to his home, and soon after, the lion was caught in a hunter’s trap. The lion struggled to break free from the trap, but it was too tight. He roared in pain, and the mouse heard his cries.
The mouse remembered his promise and ran towards the lion. He gnawed at the ropes of the trap with his sharp teeth, and soon enough, the lion was free. The lion was grateful and thanked the mouse for saving his life.
From that day on, the lion and the mouse became friends, and they lived peacefully in the jungle. The lion learned that even the smallest and weakest creature could be of great help in times of need.
The moral of the story is that size and strength do not matter as much as intelligence and kindness. It’s important to treat everyone with respect and kindness, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem.
