The Fox and the Crow Story in English

Once upon a time, there was a clever fox who loved to play tricks on the other animals in the forest. One day, he saw a crow perched on a branch with a piece of cheese in its beak. The fox, who was very hungry, had an idea.

“Good day, Mrs. Crow,” said the fox. “What a beautiful voice you have! Would you mind singing me a song?”

The crow, who was proud of her beautiful singing voice, opened her beak to sing. But the piece of cheese fell out and landed on the ground as soon as she did.

“Ah, what a shame,” said the fox. “You were singing so beautifully. I’m sure you must be hungry. Why don’t you come down and have some of this cheese with me?”

The offer enticed the crow, and he flew down to join the fox. As soon as she landed, the fox grabbed the cheese and devoured it.

The crow felt foolish and humiliated. She realized she had been duped by the cunning fox. She raised her guard from then on and never let anyone fool her again.

The moral of the story is to be cautious and not let others take advantage of you.
