The Fisherman and the Genie Story in English
Once upon a time, there was a poor fisherman named Ali. Every day, Ali would go out to the sea to catch fish to sell in the market. One day, while he was fishing, he caught a bottle. When he opened it, a genie appeared.
“I am the genie of the bottle,” said the genie. “You have freed me from my prison, and I am grateful. I will grant you three wishes.”
Ali was surprised and delighted. He thought for a moment and said, “My first wish is to have a big house with lots of rooms and a beautiful garden.”
The genie snapped his fingers, and in an instant, a magnificent house appeared in front of Ali. Ali couldn’t believe his eyes. He went inside and explored every room. It was like a dream come true.
For his second wish, Ali asked for a chest filled with gold and jewels. The genie granted his wish, and the chest appeared beside him.
Finally, Ali thought of his third wish. He was a kind-hearted man and didn’t want to be greedy. So, he asked the genie to go back into the bottle and return to his life as a fisherman.
The genie was surprised by Ali’s selflessness. He granted his wish and disappeared into the bottle.
From that day on, Ali continued to live as a fisherman. But he was no longer poor. He had a beautiful house and enough money to support his family. He lived happily ever after.
